Hamburg

Hamburg is the main port city in northern Germany, connected to the North Sea through the Elbe River. It passes through hundreds of canals and also contains a large area of parks. Near its core, the Inner Alster Lake is dotted with boats and surrounded by cafes. The Jungfernstieg Avenue in the city center connects Neustadt (New City) and Altstadt (Old City), where there are landmarks such as the 18th-century St. Michael's Church.
