Some of the most amazing nature you can experience in Lower Saxony is found in the Harz National Park, which covers an array of forests which extends even to Saxony-Anhalt. The Harz National Park extends from the state of Lower Saxony to the state of Saxony-Anhalt, and is a fascinating landscape of mountains, forests, valleys, ski resorts, and scenic towns, all connected by a network of narrow-gauge railways. The Harz Railway Line runs from north to south across the Harz national park, including an extension up the major tourist attraction Brocken, the highest mountain in the park.

The lovely region of Lower Saxony certainly has plenty of other campgrounds, vacation parks, hotels, and other accommodations. This area also contains a lot of nice towns and villages with ancient architecture. Hannover – the capital

In all seasons, Herrenhauser Garten in Hanover looks lovely, and so does the beautifully maintained castle sit alongside it. Especially in warmer months, many of Hanover’s gardens look lovely. The Herrenhausen Garden in Hannover dates back more than three hundred years, from 1676, and is one of Germanys most prominent tourist attractions.

Despite being the capital city of Lower Saxony, Hannover is not exactly a tourism magnet, although the city does boast some incredible architectural landmarks, expansive parks, and cool museums. Hanover turns out to be a great destination for a lot of the glorious achievements of the Handel.

The Masch Park is located on Trammplatz, Hanover, Germany, just beyond the new city hall, and close to other nice Hanover spots such as shops selling amazing German gifts. Schwinde Quelle, is one of the few natural wonders in Lower Saxony, attracting a lot of tourists.

Visitors are invited to explore the world of the fairies and to appreciate relics of royalty in castles and palaces of Lower Saxony, like Marienburg Castle, close to the regional capital Hanover. If you choose to visit, you cannot miss Herrenhausens internationally famous royal gardens, New Town Hall, and a magnificent Lower Saxony state museum that exhibits an exciting collection of art pieces from the 11th-20th centuries, archaeological artifacts, and an ethnology section featuring objects from around the world.

Magical castles and natural attractions

There is a nature park, the Luneburg Heath, located on Luneburg Heath (in the northwest part of the district). The Castle grounds surrounding it are free to explore, however, you need to join a guided tour to view the interior of the Castle.

Celle Castle is one of the oldest, and finest, castles of the Hanoverian dynasty, located a little less than hours’ drive from Hannover. Bentheim Castle is a medieval-era castle located on a hilltop in Bad Bentheim, Germanys Lower Saxony Region.

Heide-Park Soltau is perfect for thrill-seekers, being the site of the largest wooden roller coaster in the world, while Walsrode bird park has exotic birds in abundance. Part of Germanys Wadden Sea National Park in Lower Saxony is a UNESCO world heritage site, which puts it in line with the other worlds natural wonders such as the Grand Canyon in the US and the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.
