Bovec is a beautiful city surrounded by mountains and has many tourist offices. Surrounded by peaks over two thousand meters high, Bovec is in the heart of the Soča valley, close to the Triglav National Park. Bovec is in the magnificent Soča valley in north-west Slovenia and allows you to discover all the natural beauty of Triglav National Park. Bovec is the epicentre for adventure sports fanatics. The natural challenges of its mountains and rivers are for some the most attractive aspects of Bovec. High mountains, countless waterfalls, deep caves, crystal clear rivers combined with adventure sports. Easy hiking trail 25 km long from the source of the Sochi River to the third gorge of the Soča River near Bovets. The Great Soča Gorge is one of the many breath-taking natural spots you will discover while walking the Soča Trail. The waterfall is accessed via an easy and well-marked 20-minute trail that overlooks the clear turquoise waters of the Soča River, surrounded by lush alpine forest. You can follow the Soča River until you reach the place where the Boca Falls falls to the ground. Canyoning adventures are suitable for beginners, but there are also extreme canyoning offered, so you can discover Kozjak and/or Fratarika Falls while you canyoning. One of the canyon tours departs from Bovec, changes trains, and continues to Sussek upon arrival in the town of Kobarid.
