ID/Passport Requirement: Mainland Chinese ID holders require advance booking at least 7 days prior (cutoff at 15:00 Beijing time) as onsite ticket upgrades or purchases are unavailable for them. Original passports are strictly required for foreign passport holders on the day of travel.
Original Passport Requirement: Original passport is strictly required on the day of travel. The Forbidden City uses electronic ticketing, and entry will be denied without your physical passport.
Ticket Availability: Forbidden City tickets are subject to strict daily limits and are notoriously difficult to secure. In the rare event that tickets are sold out on your selected date, we will contact you in advance to reschedule or provide a full refund.
Monday Closure: The Palace Museum is closed all day on Mondays.
Meeting point: Exit C of Jinyu Hutong Subway Station (Line 8). Look for the staff member holding a sign with your lead traveler's name. After assembly, your host will escort you to the Meridian Gate. Please ensure you have your original passport for scanning at the gate.

When should I book?

Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
