Description
Learn the basics of Tai Chi and Shaolin-style Kung Fu from a local master in Shanghai, in a classical Chinese garden or a Bund riverside park.
Shanghai, where traditional life thrives amid the modern skyline, is the perfect place to try China's living martial arts. In this hands-on class a local master teaches you the fundamentals — Tai Chi breathing and slow forms for balance, then a few crisp Kung Fu stances and movements. Suitable for total beginners and all ages, with loose clothing provided, so families, couples and solo travellers can all join in. Your English-speaking guide keeps the pace gentle and easy to follow, and there's no pressure to be perfect. Set in a classical Chinese garden or a riverside park near the Bund, it's a calming, photogenic and authentically local break from the usual sightseeing.
