Gold Coast Surf Experience hosts daily surf coaching sessions at beautiful Tallebudgera Beach in Palm Beach, led by highly qualified, experienced and locally bred coaches. Whether you've never stood on a board before or you're still working on the fundamentals, this 1.5-hour session will have you riding waves with confidence and a massive grin on your face.

Your coach meets you at the beach and kicks things off with everything you need to know before hitting the water - surf safety, ocean awareness, how to read the conditions, tides and winds, surfing etiquette and how to handle your board. Then it's into the water, where your coach stays by your side for the entire session, offering tips, encouragement and real-time feedback to keep you progressing every step of the way.

All equipment is provided, including a beginner-friendly soft-top surfboard and a rash top, so all you need to bring is yourself, your sunscreen and your enthusiasm.

Choose between a group lesson for a fun, social atmosphere, or upgrade to a private lesson for a more personalised experience. Private sessions can also accommodate extra friends at an additional cost per person.

Please note: session location is subject to change based on surf and weather conditions. Back-up locations include Palm Beach, Tugun, Bilinga and North Kirra. You will be notified 24 hours in advance if a change is made.

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
