Pro Dive Cairns five day PADI Open Water Course combines the excitement of learning to dive with the adventure of a 3 Day / 2 Night liveaboard trip.
Your journey to becoming a certified diver begins at Pro Dive Cairns' state-of-the-art Training Centre, conveniently located in Cairns City. Over the first two days, you'll receive expert instruction in a modern facility designed for optimal learning. A key feature of our centre is Cairns’ deepest scuba training pool, reaching 4.5 metres at its deepest point. This allows students to gain a realistic feel for diving with full equipment before heading to the reef.
On days three, four, and five, your adventure continues aboard MV Scubapro, our custom-built liveaboard vessel, where you'll dive at a selection of 16 exclusive outer reef sites (see itinerary for details). This comprehensive course includes four Open Water training dives, followed by five additional pleasure dives, including an escorted night dive—a thrilling experience to complete your certification. Courses commence daily, except Sundays.
Our purpose-built liveaboard vessels are designed for both comfort and functionality. At 25 metres (80 feet) in length, they feature spacious, air-conditioned interiors and two large decks—one dedicated to scuba diving and snorkelling, and another purely for relaxation and sunbathing. Accommodation includes 16 twin-share cabins, each sleeping two guests, with a shared bathroom between every two cabins.
After an exciting day in the water, enjoy a hearty, hot dinner with a varied menu that changes each trip, followed by dessert served after the night dive. Vegetarian options are available upon request. Solo travellers will be paired with another diver in a twin-share cabin.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Some medical conditions may prevent you from diving – if in doubt please see your doctor before travelling. In the interest of safety we recommend you do not fly within a 24 hour period after diving. Everyone will be required to fill out a Medical Waiver Release and Indemnity Deed onboard the vessel. We recommend you organise your own travel insurance.

- Reef taxes AUD $95.00 per person (for travel dates April 1 2025 - March 31 2026)
- Reef taxes AUD $100.00 per person (for travel dates April 1 2026 - March 31 2027)
- This fee consists of a Government Environmental Charge, Port Departure Tax and Administration Charges. This charge is applicable for all passengers on the 3 Day 2 Night Liveaboard Dive Trip and all Dive Courses combining the 3 Day Trip.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
