Description
Full day birding! We will encounter diverse and rare species through the telescope lens such as Dalmatian Pelicans, elegant Egrets, flocks of Waders along the mudflats, and dazzling Bee-eaters.
Full birding in Shkoder Lake and Velipoja Lagoon. Early birding on Shiroke and along our Jeep/SUV trip around the lake we will see hundreds of waterbirds whose population is dominated by diving species including Pygmy Cormorant, Tufted Duck, Common Pochard, Great Crested Grebe, Common Goldeneye and Eurasian Coot.
Our next stop will be the Velipoja forest, while tracking for a short walk, 1-2 km, on the deep forest is planned to see or hear at least 3-4 woodpecker species: European green woodpecker, black woodpecker, great spotted woodpecker, and lesser spotted woodpecker.
At the end we will stop at Velipoja Lagoon to enjoy birdwatching shorebirds through the telescope. Our trip will end with e delicious lunch at a local restaurants.
