The spirit of the Winter Olympics | Hike along the bobsleigh track

Discover lost places from the Winter Olympics and the siege of Sarajevo while enjoying the fresh mountain air on Trebević, just 10 minutes by gondola from the city center of Sarajevo!
We'll meet at Sarajevo City Hall, where you'll hear some fascinating facts about the city, its siege, and its unbroken fighting spirit. Then we'll walk together to the cable car, which will take us up to Trebević in just a few minutes.

Before we head to the old bobsleigh track from the Winter Olympics, we'll walk to one of the most beautiful viewpoints over Sarajevo, then go straight to the old scaffolding of the bobsleigh track! In 1984, it was lined with excited spectators, but now only ruins remain. The concrete walls have been covered with graffiti by both graffiti artists and tourists. We hike along the old bobsleigh track, downhill, and you'll have plenty of opportunity to admire the graffiti artworks. At the end of the old bobsleigh track, we find another lost place, from where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the city of Sarajevo lying at your feet!

The trail then continues downhill on gravel paths. We reach the first houses on the outskirts of the city, stroll through village lanes and finally reach the destination of our hike: a typical Bosnian restaurant with a magnificent view over Sarajevo.

After the hike, you can simply sit here, enjoy the view with a cold drink, and let the impressions sink in. You can then return to the city either by taxi or on foot – don't worry, we will either arrange your transport or show you the 15-minute walk back to our starting point at the town hall. The total length of the hike is around 8 kilometers.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
