Start your day with pickup from your accommodation in Tirana, then relax as you drive along a scenic mountain road following part of the ancient Via Egnatia, the route that once connected Durrës with Byzantium.

Your first stop is Elbasan, one of Albania’s oldest cities. Walk through its charming fortress area and visit Elbasan Castle, built over the ruins of the ancient Roman city of Scampis.

Next, head to the Ethnographic Museum of Elbasan (entrance included) — one of the most beautiful Ottoman houses in the city, displaying traditional Albanian life. See the Ballie Mosque, and the ancient Via Egnatia Street and Roman cemetery remains, living evidence of the city’s long history.

After exploring Elbasan, continue towards the picturesque village of Lin, located on a small peninsula stretching into Lake Ohrid, one of the oldest and deepest lakes in Europe.

Stroll through the narrow stone streets of this peaceful lakeside village and enjoy the panoramic views across the lake, including the distant mountains of North Macedonia.

Take a short hike up Lin Hill for nature lovers and photo enthusiasts. Visit the ruins of the Early Christian Basilica (6th century) with its preserved mosaics. Stop at the old communication bunker viewpoint for stunning panoramic photos of the entire lake.

At the end of the visit, relax on your drive back to Tirana.
