Description

Explore the most important districts of Buenos Aires with a German-speaking guide and learn more about the immigrants, the unique architecture, and the city's eventful history.
In the 19th century, Buenos Aires grew from a remote village into an eclectic metropolis. This development is still visible in the city center today: dreams and crises, diversity and constant change have shaped the cityscape over the decades. We will get an overview of the most important sights, immerse ourselves in the city's history, and try to solve the mystery of Argentine identity.

Along the way, you will experience the Parisian flair of Avenida de Mayo, explore the majestic Palacio Barolo from the inside, and visit historic sites such as Plaza de Mayo (the site where the city was founded).

On Calle Florida, you will feel the magic of the "Microcentro," see the "corner of the five domes," and learn all about the famous "Arbolitos" (money changers).

On Avenida Corrientes (the Argentine Broadway), you will learn more about the "Golden Age" of tango and have the opportunity to take a look inside one of the city's most beautiful coffee houses. At the Obelisk, you will learn how Buenos Aires became a modern metropolis in the 20th century.

In Retiro, you will see the elegant facades of the old palaces, learn all about Argentina's former wealth, and feel the glamour of the "Belle Époque."
