Start your day early by leaving Tirana at 8:00 AM. The distance to Kruja is about 45 minutes to an hour by car (around 30 km). Arrive in Kruja, a historical town known for its significance during the Ottoman era and its association with Albania's national hero, Gjergj Kastrioti (Skanderbeg).

Visit the Kruja Castle, which offers fantastic views of the surrounding area and is home to several important sites. Explore the Skanderbeg Museum, dedicated to Albania’s national hero, Skanderbeg. The museum is housed inside the castle, and you'll learn about his life and fight against the Ottomans.

Visit the Ethnographic Museum, located just outside the castle, which provides insight into traditional Albanian life. Stroll through the Old Bazaar of Kruja, a charming cobblestone market filled with handicrafts, traditional Albanian items, and souvenirs. Enjoy some local delicacies or coffee in one of the quaint cafes in the bazaar.

After your visit to Kruja, head to Durrës, which is around 45 minutes away by car (about 40 km). The coastal town is known for its beaches, Roman history, and vibrant city life. Enjoy a traditional Albanian lunch at a seaside restaurant in Durrës. Try fresh seafood dishes, such as grilled fish, seafood pasta, or the local tava e fishit (fish casserole).

After lunch, head to the Durrës Amphitheater, one of the largest and most impressive Roman sites in the Balkans. Dating back to the 2nd century AD, it once held up to 20,000 spectators. It's an excellent spot for history lovers and photo opportunities.

Visit the Durrës Archaeological Museum to see a rich collection of ancient artifacts, ranging from the Greek and Roman periods. The museum is located in the city center and showcases Albania's long and diverse history. After the museum, take a relaxing stroll along the Durrës Promenade, enjoy the sea breeze, and take in the beautiful view of the Adriatic Sea.

After a full day of sightseeing, leave Durrës and return to Tirana. You'll be back in Tirana by around 6:00 PM, allowing you some free time to rest or explore the city if you wish.
