Spend three days exploring southern Albania with Berg, a local guide and storyteller behind Hey Albania.
This experience is designed to feel less like a conventional sightseeing tour and more like travelling through Albania with a local ~ sharing stories, coffee, conversations and spontaneous moments along the road.
On Day 1, leave Tirana for UNESCO-listed Berat. Explore its living castle and the Onufri Iconographic Museum before continuing to ancient Apollonia, where young Octavian, the future Emperor Augustus, studied. Continue to Vlorë, visit the historic Muradie Mosque and spend the night by the Adriatic coast.
Day 2 takes you across the spectacular Llogara Pass and down to the Albanian Riviera. Stop in Himarë, explore Porto Palermo Castle and continue through southern Albania to UNESCO-listed Gjirokastër. Visit its hilltop castle before spending the evening in the Stone City.
On Day 3, walk through Gjirokastër’s Old Bazaar before travelling to the Blue Eye. On the journey back to Tirana, stop near Tepelenë and the Vjosa River for a relaxed local lunch break.
But the places are only part of the experience. Along the way, Berg connects Albania’s history with traditions, everyday life and personal stories.
In Albania, a guest can become a “mik” ~ more than a customer, someone welcomed and looked after along the journey.

Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
