Join a beginner-friendly pottery class in Brisbane and learn basic skills like hatching, sticking, and shaping forms. Create your own pieces with earthenware clay and take them home.
Begin your pottery class by getting inspired by a wide selection of sample ceramic pieces. Choose to create a mug, bowl, torso, or animal, like a highland yak.
Learn the process of turning pottery into ceramics, along with hand-building techniques required to make your piece a success. Follow along with an artist instructing a demo at the front and receive one-on-one guidance and assistance as needed.
Work with earthenware clay to create your own unique piece. Learn basic skills like hatching, sticking together, and shaping forms.
Once you have created your piece, take some fun photos with your phone of your creations. Take your piece home as an air-dry piece or choose to have it fired and glazed for an additional cost.

Pieces need to be fired before painting
Go to level 1, uptown shopping centre, formerly called myer centre. Your in the yellow wonderland studio space, closest to Queen Street mall end of building, next to Retros. Note this is super important as we have 6 x studios on this level. (Friday till Sunday yellow studio 6, week days can be main studio 1, next to wake up cafe, level 1, uptown)

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
