Sarajevo: Trebević Summit Circular Hike with Guide

Begin your adventure on a well-marked mountain path leading through peaceful forest terrain toward the mountain spring known as Dobra Voda. Stop at this popular resting point to refill your water bottle with fresh mountain water and enjoy a short break before continuing the ascent.

From Dobra Voda, gradually climb toward the ridge section of Trebević. This is the most exciting and scenic part of the hike, offering spectacular panoramic views over Sarajevo, the Olympic mountains, and the surrounding landscape. The terrain here becomes slightly more challenging, making the experience more rewarding while remaining suitable for hikers with a reasonable level of fitness.

After reaching the summit of Trebević at 1,629 meters, enjoy the mountain atmosphere, take photographs, and admire one of the best viewpoints in the Sarajevo region. The return journey follows a different route through beautiful pine forests, creating a true circular hiking experience and allowing you to discover different sides of the mountain. Only the section between the starting point and Dobra Voda is shared in both directions.

Along the way, experience a diverse variety of landscapes, from dense mountain forests and shaded trails to open ridgelines with uninterrupted views of Sarajevo below. Safety is a top priority throughout the tour. The hike is led by a licensed Category A Mountain Guide certified by the Mountaineering Association of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PS FBiH), whose guide training and certification system is accredited according to UIAA standards. Throughout the hike, the guide provides assistance, shares local knowledge about the mountain and surrounding area, and ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
