Leave Tiananmen and continue to the Imperial Palace, more commonly known as the “Forbidden City.” Learn about the construction and renovation of this ancient royal landmark, exploring its creation in 1406 and subsequent destructions and renovations.
After the Forbidden City, you’ll head to the Temple of Heaven, a famous complex of ceremonial buildings used by the Qing and Ming emperors to pray for good harvests and peace.
