Zhangjiajie Tianmen & Tujia Culture Day Tour -Beat the Heat

Visit Tianmen Mountain in the morning to beat the midday heat, then spend a relaxing afternoon discovering traditional Tujia brocade and sandstone art.
The day begins with a hotel pickup to transfer directly to Tianmen Mountain. Take the cable car up the mountain and spend 4 hours exploring the summit paths, the glass skywalk, and Heaven's Gate.

In the afternoon, escape the outdoor sun with an indoor cultural itinerary. First, visit the Tujia Brocade Museum. Discover the rich heritage of this craft and watch local skilled weavers operating ancient wooden looms with rhythmic hand-and-foot coordination, transforming threads into vibrant patterns filled with stories and blessings.

Next, visit the Junsheng Sandstone Painting Gallery. Admire distinctive artworks crafted by Mr. Li Junsheng and his disciples. They skillfully use natural sand, stones, and plants from Zhangjiajie to create 3D textured pieces that blend traditional Chinese painting with the raw beauty of nature. After the gallery visit, transfer back to your hotel.

Important Note: Tianmen Mountain opens at 8:00 AM. To beat the midday heat, we recommend choosing an early departure. Driving to the mountain takes 40 minutes from the Wulingyuan East Gate area, or 15 minutes from downtown Zhangjiajie.

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
