Description
Tired of the same old crowded tourist spots? This autumn, we're unlocking a hidden gem even guidebooks have largely overlooked – a classical Jiangnan garden mountain landscape, just a short ride away.
Imagine a scene straight off a postcard: hundreds of ancient trees set the entire valley ablaze, painting a symphony of crimson, gold, and orange. Leave the tourist crowds behind and immerse yourself in the crunch of leaves underfoot and the crisp, earthy scent of the forest air. From late November to mid-December, this brief four-week window is the location's absolute "Golden Hour," offering a genuine local's secret experience.
This land once belonged to one of the most revered statesmen and writers in Chinese history. His famous ideal, "Forethought in facing the world’s sorrows, and aftermath joy in sharing the world’s joys," has inspired generations. An emperor bestowed this mountain upon his family in recognition of his contributions. The magnificent maple scenery you see today has been carefully cultivated and preserved by his descendants as part of their cultural heritage.
