Description
Explore Cape Town through food. Taste local favourites like Gatsby, pap, and Indian flavours while learning how different cultures shape South African cuisine
Discover the real Cape Town through its food, stories, and everyday life on this guided walking experience through the city. This is more than a food tour—it’s a journey through the cultures and communities that shape what’s on the plate.
Start – Home cooking experience
Step into a local home kitchen and be welcomed with a tasting plate, while getting a personal introduction to South Africa’s diverse food culture.
From there, we walk through the colorful streets of Bo-Kaap, where history, culture, and food are deeply connected.
Next, you’ll try one of Cape Town’s most iconic street foods, a local favorite that’s big, bold, and full of flavor. We then continue to Greenmarket Square, one of the city’s oldest trading spaces, where past and present come together.
Along the way, you’ll enjoy authentic South African dishes that reflect the country’s rich cultural mix, from traditional meals to vibrant, spice-filled flavors inspired by Indian influences.
End – Local wine bar
We end the experience in a relaxed, locally owned wine bar, where you can enjoy South African wine and take in everything you’ve tasted, seen, and learned.
