House of Banksy Leipzig – An Unauthorized Exhibition

The new pop-up exhibition about street art superstar BANKSY is back in Leipzig from May 30, 2025! An unprecedented presentation of over 150 motifs by the celebrated artist!
The creators of the successful exhibition "The Mystery of Banksy – A Genius Mind," which captivated visitors at the Kunstkraftwerk in 2022 and has since established itself as the most popular and successful show about the street art superstar worldwide with around 3 million visitors, are back in Leipzig! And they're doing it with a new pop-up exhibition called "House of Banksy Leipzig – An Unauthorized Exhibition," starting May 30, 2025! At Grimmaische Straße 10 (formerly the Esprit store) in the heart of Leipzig, an unprecedented presentation of over 150 motifs by the celebrated artist will be on display in a 1,500 square meter space. The exhibition, which has already attracted around 300,000 visitors at its first two venues in Munich and Hamburg, is currently the most comprehensive and sought-after exhibition on the street art superstar in Europe and stands out clearly from all previous Banksy presentations!

Graffiti, photographs, sculptures, video installations, and prints on various materials such as canvas, fine art paper, wood, aluminum, plaster, concrete, and brick have been reproduced and compiled especially for this exhibition. In an elaborate and unique setting, visitors are given a comprehensive insight into the complete works of this exceptional artist. Due to his anonymous status, this homage and the image installations on display have not been authorized by the artist himself. Around 80% of all graffiti and artwork motifs on display are now difficult or impossible to access in their original form. They have been removed, torn down, destroyed, sprayed over or torn from walls and then sold at auction for large sums of money. Some of them, especially his silkscreen prints, are now in private ownership or in the possession of art dealers. The equally impressive reproductions, which are created and sprayed live on site by an internationally renowned team of graffiti artists especially for each exhibition, allow viewers to follow in Banksy's footsteps and experience his art in an unprecedented way and at close range.
