You will be accompanied to the highest building in the city, the 73-metre-high Town Hall Tower. Enjoy the impressive panoramic view.
The ascent to the tower of the town hall, built in 1901, begins with a short walk from the Dessau Tourist Information Office to the town hall. From here, you walk through the new and old buildings of Dessau Town Hall to the gallery at around 47 meters.
Once at the top, you will be rewarded with a wonderful view over the Mulde river meadows and the city of Dessau. In good weather conditions, you can even see the Brocken.
The ascent is not a guided walking tour in the true sense of the word, but the staff at the tourist information office will be happy to provide you with some information about the town hall tower.
