Description
An interactive adventure tour through Meissen Albrechtsburg Castle with Count Brühl in cooperation with the State Palaces and Gardens of Saxony
Meissen Abrechtsburg Castle, the first castle in Germany, is being revitalised. Ever since Sidonia, a wife of the Wettin Duke Albrecht, left the Albrechtsburg around 1500, the castle had no real function. It was only when none other than the most famous Saxon, Augustus the Strong, established the first European porcelain manufactory in 1710 that everything changed for the town of Meissen and its inhabitants. Heinrich Reichsgraf von Brühl, Premierministe de Saxe under his son, returned to his old place of work in his function as Inspector General of Meissen Porcelain. Under him, the production of Meissen porcelain experienced a demand that has never been equalled to this day, creating world-class works of art. He personally explains how he achieved this during a tour of the "secret laboratory"... .
Especially suitable for children.
