Get to know the main sights, places and buildings in company by following a route of original novel sites, read given passages of the included book and enjoy the authenticity of the moment
After picking up your backpack for two at a bookshop in the city centre, you can start your discovery of the main city sights and the history of Erfurt at your own pace.
In your backpack you will find a historic novel, based on facts, two seat pads, a city map, a local surprise and a letter. The letter will tell you where to go and which passages to read so that history will come alive whilst experiencing the aura of the different locations. The tour is designed for a duration of two hours.
You may choose between five themes/books:
Blaues Gold - 17th century woad trade
Der Bierrufer - 17th century brewing trade
Amor Vincit Omnia or the English title „The Lost Treasure“ - 14th century Jewish life with the UNESCO World heritage sites
Der Abt vom Petersberg - 15th century monastery crimes
Die Pfaffenhure - Martin Luther in Erfurt 16th century

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
