Description

Discover Addis Ababa like never before. See sights of Addis Abeba, wander around the city, and explore Africa's largest open market. Visit Musuem Churches to enjoy local cuisine and our finest coffee!
Begin your journey in the National Museum of Ethiopia, which has some of the greatest exhibits in terms of quality and variety. The 3.5 million-year-old fossil of Lucy (or Dinkinesh - 'lovely' in the local tongue), a hominoid lady from the Australopithecus Afarensis species, is among the archaeological displays. The discovery of Lucy's fossil in 1974 prompted a thorough rethinking of human lineage, revealing that our forebears walked 2.5 million years earlier than previously thought. The National Museum also has many beautiful items from pre-Axumite culture.

Following that, you will visit St George's Cathedral (Giorgis Cathedral). Lies near the northern end of Churchill Road. The Cathedral, which was built in 1896 in the typical octagonal form to celebrate Ethiopia's victory over the Italians in the Battle of Adwa, features the work of Afewerk Tekle, the famed Ethiopian artist who designed the Africa Hall's stained-glass windows.

Drive to Entoto and see Shiromeda market, one of the largest marketplaces for Ethiopian traditional clothes. Continue driving up the summit to explore the dominating panoramic vantage point Mount Entoto, which provides a spectacular perspective of the city.

Final halt. Coffee stop at Tomoka Coffee! One of the finest coffees in the city. End of Tour
