Day 1: Fly Addis Ababa To Semera → Danakil Depression (Hamed Ela)

Arrive Semera Airport, breakfast, then drive to Afdera village by the vast salt lake. Visit Lake Giulietti (Afrera), float effortlessly in its salty waters, and see stunning red salt mountains. Camp overnight under a star-filled sky.

Day 2: Dallol & Erta Ale Volcano

Explore Dallol’s surreal landscape of neon sulfur pools, salt crusts, and steaming earth. Watch salt miners at work, then visit turquoise Lake Assal. Trek to Erta Ale volcano’s lava lake at sunset, camp nearby.

Day 3: Erta Ale → Semera Fly To Addis Ababa

Early sunrise over lava fields, then drive to Semera for afternoon flight to Addis Ababa. Rest at hotel.

Day 4: Fly Addis Ababa To Arbaminch → Dorze Village

Arrive Arbaminch, check in, and enjoy coffee. Visit the Dorze village to see unique beehive bamboo houses and traditional weaving. Return to Arbaminch for dinner.

Day 5: Arbaminch → Konso → Turmi

Boat ride on Lake Chamo to see crocodiles, hippos, and birds. Drive to Konso, a UNESCO World Heritage village known for terraced farming and cultural heritage. After lunch, continue to Turmi via Waito Valley to meet the Arbore tribe. Visit a Hamer village in the evening.

Day 6: Dassenech & Kara Tribes – Hamer Bull Jumping Ceremony

Cross the Omo River by boat to visit the Dassenech tribe. Return to Turmi and explore the Kara village with traditional body painting. Attend the Hamer bull jumping ceremony or a cultural visit if the ceremony isn’t scheduled. End with the Evan Gady dance party under the stars.

Day 7: Nyangatom Tribes – Local Market – Jinka

Visit a Nyangatom village in Kangatan. Return to Turmi for lunch and coffee, then visit a lively local market. Proceed to Jinka, the gateway to South Omo, and check in.

Day 8: Mursi Tribe – Fly Addis Ababa – Departure Home

Visit the Mursi tribe, noted for their clay lip plates and body painting. Return to Jinka for lunch and fly to Addis Ababa. Shop for souvenirs and enjoy a farewell dinner with traditional music and dance at Yuda Abbysinia Ethiopian Restaurant. Transfer onward as per your flight schedule.
