Description
Head out on a full-day cart adventure through the Atherton Tablelands in search of wild kangaroos. Along the way, spot platypus in the wild and feed wild rock wallabies at Granite Gorge.
Venture out from Cairns for a full-day adventure through the Atherton Tablelands and Mareeba region. This tour is perfect for anyone who wants to experience Australia's wildlife up close in its natural habitat - something you simply can't get at a zoo.
Hop into a self-drive cart (no license required, drivers must be 16+) and head across wide open countryside in search of wild kangaroos. After a relaxing break by a quiet lake, search a natural creek for platypus - a sighting even locals rarely get to see.
After walking beneath a curtain fig tree estimated to be over 500 years old, continue on to Granite Gorge. Feed wild rock wallabies and get up close with native Australian animals.
Enjoy free time for lunch or shopping at the popular local cafe Coffee Works (food and drink not included). Afterwards, you'll be returned to your hotel in Cairns.
Please note that all animals featured are wild, so sightings of kangaroos, platypus and other wildlife cannot be guaranteed.
Important booking note: Please book by midnight (00:00) at least 3 days before your tour date. Bookings made after this cut-off time may show as "confirmed" automatically in the system, but this does not mean your booking is actually confirmed - we will contact you directly to confirm availability.
