Melbourne: Phillip Island Penguins and Wildlife Sanctuary

A Phillip Island penguin and nature experience with a focus on wildlife, conservation, and rugged natural scenery. The tour later culminates in the world-famous little penguin parade in the early evening.
This small group tour will take you in a Mercedes Benz through the city of Melbourne towards the famous Brighton Beach Boxes on the bay for some memorable photo opportunities. Following that, the tour then heads south towards Phillip Island. On the way your guide will share interesting stories as well as facts about Melbourne and the region, including pointing out where some international celebrity holiday spots lie.

A stop for lunch (at your own expense) at the quaint seaside town of San Remo is next on the agenda. Once having later arrived at Phillip Island, you will visit a family-run open-range wildlife sanctuary where you can feed kangaroos and walk amongst up to 80 species of native animals and birds, including koalas, emus, wombats, and echidnas.

Following the wildlife encounter you will head straight to the rugged cliff faces of the Nobbies overlooking Western Port Bay and Bass Strait, one of the most dangerous stretches of water in the world. Have your camera ready, as you might even spot some seals on the rocks below.

Next you will tour in your vehicle through the areas where the little penguin burroughs lie. Keep an eye out for the birds of prey that circle the nature reserve from above. After a full day of nature experiences (up close and personal encounters with native Australian wildlife) you will make your way to the star of the evening, the little penguin parade. Complimentary woolen blankest are provided for that extra viewing comfort whilst you marvel at the little penguins making their way up the beach towards their burroughs. Upon the completion of the parade you will be able to relax and recline back in the seats of your Mercedes as you make your back to the same place that you were picked up from.
