Begin your day with a drive from Baku to Quba, located 170 km north of the city. After a 2.5-3 hour drive, cross the bridge over the Qudyal River into the world's only remaining all-Jewish town outside Israel and the US, the Red Settlement.
Founded in 1742 under the protection of the Khan of Quba, the Red Settlement is home to the Six Dome Synagogue (built in 1888) and a still-living Mountain Jewish (Juhuro) community. Walk the red-tiled streets .
Next, head to Çənlibel Lake (Macəra Lake Park), a calm, scenic lake inside a small nature park just outside Quba. Enjoy an easy walk-around stop with good photo spots.
Continue to Qımılqazma, a highland plateau area on the road toward Khinaliq. Take in the open meadows, cooler air, and mountain views as the terrain starts climbing.
Finally, visit Qəçrəş Forest, a dense, cool pine forest along the same route. Admire one of the most scenic natural stretches in the Quba highlands before heading back to Baku.
