Duration: 02:30 hours

Description

Discover local life in Tam Coc through food and traditional silk craftsmanship. Learn to prepare Vietnamese dishes with local hosts, then enjoy the meal together with silk artisans from Hoa Lu.
Step into the everyday life of a traditional craft village in Ninh Binh and discover Vietnam through two things deeply connected to local culture: food and craftsmanship.

Your experience begins at our traditional silk workshop in Hoa Lu, where you will be welcomed by local hosts and artisans who work with silk every day.

Before cooking, take a short walk around the village workshop and meet the people behind the craft. Learn about their daily life and hear stories of traditional silk making in Ninh Binh.

Then join your host for a hands-on Vietnamese cooking class. Together, you will prepare a selection of local home-style dishes using fresh ingredients commonly found in Vietnamese family kitchens.

Your host will introduce the ingredients, explain how they are prepared and guide you step by step through traditional cooking techniques.

Once the cooking is finished, everyone gathers around the table.

Instead of simply eating the dishes you prepared, you will share the meal with local silk artisans. This is a chance to talk, exchange stories and learn more about Vietnamese family life, food traditions and the people preserving the silk craft in Hoa Lu.

Enjoy your meal slowly with tea and seasonal fruit in the peaceful atmosphere of the craft village.

This experience is designed for travelers who want more than a cooking class — it is an opportunity to cook, eat and connect with local people in Ninh Binh.
