Bring us a name. We research your ancestor's war and build a private tour entirely around their story so you can walk where they walked and stand where they stood.
For many visitors, the Salient is not history it is family. If you have an ancestor who served or fell in Flanders, this private tour is built entirely around them. Tell us a name, a regiment or a service number, and before you arrive we research their story: where they fought, where they were wounded, where they are buried or remembered.
On the day, we drive you to those places: the cemetery, the memorial, the patch of ground where it happened and we tell you what we have found. For families who have carried a name for a hundred years, standing in the exact spot is something no museum can give. Choose a half-day for one focused story, or a full day to follow a longer service. Pre-tour research is included.

When should I book?

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.


Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
