Day 1: Arrival in Paro – Transfer to Thimphu

Upon arrival at Paro airport, be transferred to Thimphu, the capital city known for its scenic beauty and unique lack of traffic lights. En route, visit the historic Iron Bridge, built in the 14th century by Thangthong Gyalbo, a renowned iron bridge builder from Tibet.

In Thimphu, marvel at the Buddha Dordenma statue, one of the largest sitting Buddha statues in the world, offering a panoramic view of the valley. Experience traditional Bhutanese culture at Simply Bhutan, a living museum where you can learn about local customs, traditional clothing, and the distillation of ara (rice wine). End the day with a visit to Tashichho Dzong, the capital fortress, before settling into your hotel for the night.

Day 2: Thimphu – Punakha (Day Excursion)

Start your day with a scenic drive to Punakha, stopping at Dochula Pass to take in breathtaking views of the Himalayan ranges and explore the 108 stupas. Continue to Punakha, where you'll enjoy a leisurely hike through lush paddy fields to Chimi Lhakhang, the temple of fertility known for its unique phallic symbols.

Visit the stunning Punakha Dzong, regarded as the most beautiful fortress in Bhutan, and capture scenic views from the Punakha Suspension Bridge, the country's longest, spanning over the Po Chhu River. Day 3: Thimphu – Paro (Tiger's Nest Temple Hike)

Embark on a journey to Paro for a hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Temple, a sacred site perched dramatically on a cliffside, offering breathtaking views and a deep spiritual experience. The hike is a must-visit experience, showcasing Bhutan's spiritual heritage and natural beauty.

Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
