Description

The Salar de Uyuni, located in southwestern Bolivia, is the largest salt flat in the world and an impressive natural spectacle.
DAY 1

We leave at 10:00 a.m. from the meeting point. The first stop is the Train Cemetery, with relics of 19th century machinery. In Colchani, you will discover the salt process and you can buy crafts made with this mineral or llama or alpaca textiles. Then, we will explore the immense Salar de Uyuni, with its Salt Piles and Ojos del Salar. We will visit the only Salt Hotel (Museum) and the amazing Incahuasi Island, with giant cacti and panoramic views. You will enjoy lunch in this unique setting and spend the night in Puerto Chuvica, in a salt hostel.

DAY 2

We start at 08:00 a.m. at the Ollague Volcano viewpoint, where you will observe the smoke from the active volcano. We will visit the Cañapa, Hedionda, Honda, Chiarcota and Ramaditas lagoons, used by flamingos. In the Siloli Desert, you will see the Stone Tree and reach Laguna Colorada, the gateway to the Eduardo Abaroa Reserve. We will spend the night in Huayllajara, which is considered a mountain refuge, near Laguna Colorada.

DAY 3

At 05:00, we visit the Geysers at 4,964 meters above sea level. Enjoy the Polques Hot Springs and a hot breakfast. We will cross the Salvador Dalí Desert, visit Laguna Blanca and Laguna Verde at the foot of the Licancabur Volcano. Ending options: 1) Conclude in San Pedro de Atacama with transfer to the Bolivia-Chile border (Hito Cajones) and transfer. 2) Return to Uyuni, exploring the Valley of Rocks in Alota and the town of San Cristóbal. Approximate arrival in Uyuni at 18:00 hours. End of the tour. Border transfer ticket: 150 Bs or 20 USD.
