2-Day Lake Titicaca & Sun Island from La Paz - Round Trip

Discover Lake Titicaca on a 2-day trip from La Paz. Visit Copacabana, sail to Sun Island, uncover its Inca heritage, spend the night on the island, and return to La Paz.
DAY 1 – COPACABANA & SUN ISLAND

Begin your 2-day journey with check-in at the La Paz Bus Terminal. Please arrive on time for departure at approximately 7:20 AM. Travel by shared transportation across the Bolivian Altiplano toward Lake Titicaca.

Tiquina Strait – Cross the scenic strait between San Pablo de Tiquina and San Pedro de Tiquina before continuing toward Copacabana.

Copacabana – Visit this famous lakeside town, including the Basilica of Copacabana, the local market, and traditional handicraft stalls.

Boat to Sun Island – Cross Lake Titicaca by boat to the southern side of Sun Island while enjoying views of the lake and surrounding Andean landscapes.

Inca Fountain & Inca Steps – Visit the Sacred Fountain of the Incas and the historic Inca Steps while learning about their cultural significance with your bilingual guide.

Overnight: Accommodation on Sun Island. Enjoy the included meals and spend the night surrounded by the peaceful landscapes of Lake Titicaca.

DAY 2 – SUN ISLAND, PILCOCAINA & ORURO

Begin the second day with an included breakfast at your accommodation on Sun Island.

Pilcocaina Inca Temple – Visit this important archaeological site on the southern side of Sun Island and learn about its Inca history with your bilingual guide.

Boat to Copacabana – Cross Lake Titicaca from Sun Island back to Copacabana, with panoramic views of the lake and Andean scenery along the way.

Copacabana & Included Meal – Enjoy additional time in Copacabana to walk through its traditional streets and lakeside surroundings. Have an included meal before continuing.

Transfer to La Paz – Leave the Lake Titicaca region and continue across the Bolivian Altiplano toward La Paz.

Arrival in La Paz – Arrive at the La Paz Bus Terminal at approximately 5:30 PM, where your 2-day experience through Lake Titicaca, Copacabana, and Sun Island comes to an end.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
