San Pedro de Atacama: 3d excursion to the Uyuni Salt Flats

Set off from San Pedro de Atacama to explore Uyuni on a 3-day tour. Visit the fascinating Salar de Uyuni, Incahuasi Island and Laguna Roja, and find geysers and hot springs.
Day 1
We will pick you up at the meeting point and take you by minibus from San Pedro de Atacama to the border between Chile and Bolivia. After crossing the border, we will change to a 4x4 vehicle for 6 people. On this first day, we will visit places in the Bolivian highlands, such as Laguna Blanca and Laguna Verde, located at the foot of the Licancabur volcano. We will continue visiting the Salvador Dalí desert and the Polques hot springs, where we will have time to bathe. We will also visit the Sol de Mañana geysers, springs of intermittent water that erupt at 90 °C. Finally, we will visit Laguna Colorada, nesting center for more than 30,000 flamingos. We will spend the night in a hostel in Villamar.

Day 2
We will visit the Valley of Rocks, also known as the World Cup or Lost Italy, the place where volcanic rock took the shape of what seems to be an abandoned city. Afterwards, visit the Camello, Sora, where you can see wild animals. Stop at a mysterious Laguna or catal where you can walk and see the typical flora and fauna of the Bolivian Altiplano. See the Laguna Vinto, the Mirador and the Anaconda Canyon. At the end of the day, we will transfer to the Colcha K Salt Hotel, where we will spend the second night.

Day 3
Early in the morning, we will take our vehicle and move to the salt flat. We will see the sunrise over the white blanket formed by the accumulation of salt and then we will move to Incahuasi Island. Here, we will be able to walk briefly through this limestone rock formation, which contains a giant cactus. Enjoy a stunning view of the salt flat. Afterwards, we will visit the Salt Museum and leave the salt flat through the town of Colchani, where we will stop to buy crafts. Afterwards, we will pass by the train cemetery to take some photos before arriving at Uyuni, where we will end our tour.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
