Your adventure starts at the Botafogo subway station. From there, we will walk together for about 10 minutes to Favela Santa Marta. We use this time for initial conversations – you can ask me any questions that interest you.
Once at the top, we visit the famous vantage point with a breathtaking 360-degree view of Rio de Janeiro: Sugarloaf Mountain, Christ the Redeemer, and the coast. We'll stroll through the colorful streets of the favela, discover local art projects, and learn how the community lives and works.*
A highlight is the Michael Jackson statue. Your guide speaks fluent German, is licensed, and is very familiar with the history and culture of the favela.
The tour ends in the lower part of the favela. From there, you can easily take a bus or Uber back to Copacabana or Ipanema. Your guide will help you find your way.

When should I book?

Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
