Swim alongside the majestic whale shark, the world’s largest and gentlest fish, in the stunning waters of La Paz. From November to April, these ocean giants gather near El Mogote, a sandbar rich in plankton that creates the perfect feeding ground. This natural phenomenon offers a rare opportunity to see these graceful creatures up close in their habitat.

Equipped with snorkeling gear, glide through calm, shallow waters, ideal for observing these gentle giants as they move peacefully through the ocean. Perfect for both experienced snorkelers and first-timers, this adventure is accessible and unforgettable.

Starting from the Fiscal Dock in La Paz, search for the whale sharks upon arrival in the designated area. We'll swim with the whale shark in groups of 5, ensuring all our visitors fully enjoy the experience. The experience, from the moment we enter the whale shark area to the moment we arrive back to land lasts approximately 3 hours.

Typically, we start our day meeting at 7.15 am, but this can vary depending on the time slot assigned to our boat by parkrangers. First and second time slots are assigned the previous day at 3 pm. Third and fourth time slots are assigned the same day of the trip at 7 am. Not every boat gets a time slot every day, so try to have flexibility on your trip for this activity.

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
