Begin in Jablanica, where you’ll see the bridge destroyed during the Neretva battle in 1943. Then, head to Fortica see the Mostar from a mountain viewpoint and the Austro-Hungarian ruins.
Next, visit the city center to see the Sniper Tower, one of the most intriguing abandoned structures. Finally, admire the Old Bridge, destroyed during the Bosnian war and reconstructed in 2004.
On the way back to Sarajevo, stop in the small town of Konjic to hear the story of the Vardak Mosque, still missing its minaret destroyed during the Bosnian war.
