Description
Fly by helicopter to Tsodilo Hills, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and discover ancient rock art, cultural history and breathtaking views of Botswana’s Okavango Delta.
Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site, firstly from the air and then by foot. This halfday trip includes a flight to Tsodilo Hills which encompasses the entirety of the humbling Okavango Delta. From seasonal floodplains, over permanent lagoons of the panhandle, right to the snaking meandering river, you get to witness the untamed beauty from up in the air. Once you have reached your destination, you will be greeted by a professional Rock Art Expert who will explain some of the 4500 rock paintings that adorn the quartzite rocks. You will learn about the history of the human settlement of this site that dates back around 100,000 years. Tsodilo Hills present a side of Botswana few travellers get to experience. The hills have an air and allure that is difficult to describe; perhaps they possess a draw that appeals to something within us all.
