ITINERARY: We depart from Marina da Glória and start our journey sailing into Urca Bay which offers a beautiful view of Rio and the Sugarloaf Mountain. We then cross the bay towards Niteroi discovering Rio de Janeiro’s forts (São João, Laje and Santa Cruz) and drop anchor at Adam and Eve beaches for a swim (about 25 minutes). We then continue our tour further into the bay until the Museum of Contemporary Art MAC and Boa Viagem Island. The final leg of our trip will take us right next to Santos Dumont Airport and finally back to the Marina.

Highlights of Velas do Rio catamaran

1.A new boat : Velas do Rio catamaran is a new boat manufactured in 2022 and launched in 2023. We take great care to ensure it is always immaculate for you!

2.Stability: Velas do Rio boat is a catamaran sailboat, meaning it has two hulls and is much wider than a monohull sailboat. It is therefore significantly more stable than many other boats, including motorboats, providing a greater navigation experience and making it an ideal platform for you to enjoy the beautiful scenery, a good swim or just savor the delights we serve on board.

3.Space: Our catamaran offers ample internal and external space. With two hulls, the living area in the cockpit is sheltered and very spacious, and it even has saltwater and freshwater showers. At the front of the boat, the space is fantastic with two large nets and plenty of opportunities to lie down and sit throughout the bow area. Just like in the cockpit, the bow also has freshwater and saltwater showers.

4.Speed: Our catamaran performs excellently and with a soft crosswind, it easily reaches +7 knots. The pleasure of the engines turned off and the boat gliding silently with just the sails is indescribable!

5.Safety: Our boat has 2 new Yanmar engines, which offer important redundancy and ideal maneuverability to navigate in tight spaces.

6.Capacity: Our catamaran is one of the few sailboats that accommodates up to 18 passengers. This can be a significant advantage for you and your friends to spend an unforgettable day!

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
