The Classic Ilha Grande Route is ideal if you want to make the most of your time on the water, with planned stops at Ilha de Cataguases, Lagoa Azul, Praia da Grumixama, Praia da Freguesia de Santana, and Saco do Céu. Swim, snorkel, relax on the beaches, or simply enjoy the scenery as you move between different parts of Ilha Grande.

The Lopes Mendes Route combines the private speedboat experience with a visit to Lopes Mendes, widely regarded as one of Brazil’s most beautiful beaches. Travel by boat to Praia do Pouso and continue with an approximately 40-minute walk through the Atlantic Forest, accompanied by your guide. Facing the open ocean, Lopes Mendes stretches for nearly 3 km, with fine white sand, clear blue-green waters, preserved forest and very little development. Its remote, natural setting is part of what makes the beach so special, although waves can be stronger and facilities are very limited. After enjoying Lopes Mendes, return to Praia do Pouso and continue by boat to Praia do Iguaçu and Saco do Céu.

Whichever route you choose, the speedboat is reserved exclusively for your group. There are no other passengers and no shared-tour timetable, so the experience has a more relaxed and personal pace than a regular group excursion.

During the boat tour, complimentary snorkeling equipment and bottled water are provided. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks, food, and drinks aboard.

An optional lunch stop can be made at Restaurante Gruta das Estrelas, in Saco do Céu, subject to availability. Lunch is not included in the price. An onboard barbecue can also be arranged in advance for an additional charge.

Your licensed tour guide accompanies you throughout the day, while a professional driver takes care of the road transportation and a sailor is responsible for the boat and navigation.

With pickup and drop-off in Rio, dedicated transportation, your own private speedboat, and a choice of two different ways to experience the island, the entire day is organized around your group.

The complete experience usually lasts between 10 and 12 hours and is available for private groups of up to 8 people.

The order of the stops may change according to sea conditions, weather, safety, and the sailor’s assessment on the day.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
