It is that same love for the city that gave rise to our name. The name comes from the word in Portuguese “Lisboar” or “Lisboa-me” which takes the word Lisbon and turns it into a verb, a feeling, an experience. In essence this is what Lisbon is. An experience, a vibe. A City that is not just great to look at, but also great to experience.

The vast blue sea provides a sense of tranquillity, while at the same time arousing a feeling of immensity. Looking at the horizon, where water and sky become inseparable, the emotions that overwhelm us are inevitable. Comparable to a hypnotic effect, this feeling of hope and wonder brought by the sea calls its lovers out to the water.

Since the time of the European discoveries, the sea has always fascinated the Portuguese. In the XV & XVI centuries, Vasco da Gama and Pedro Álvares Cabral dared to discover new worlds and set sail from these very waters.
