Begin your day with a convenient pickup from your hotel. Head to the Vista Chinesa (on weekdays only, as the road is closed on weekends) and then continue to the trailhead for Pedra Bonita. Enjoy a 30-minute hike to the top, where you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views.
Watch as hang gliders and paragliders take off, soaring through the sky. After taking in the views, descend and make your way to Ilha da Gigoia. Board a boat for a scenic ride through the famous Pantanal Carioca, keeping an eye out for crocodiles and local birds.
After the boat ride, take a stroll on the island, where cars and four-wheeled vehicles are not allowed, giving you a chance to experience life at a slower pace.
