The tour begins with a pick-up at 2 PM from your Siem Reap hotel and you head to the Angkor Wat temple complex with your local guide.
This world wonder was constructed during the 12th century under the ruling of King Suryavarman II and features thousands of statues of female spirits (Asparas) and countless extensive stone wall carvings decorating its exterior and interior.
After exploring the astonishing Angkor Wat with your guide, it will be time to head to Bakheng Mountain to watch the sunset. From a height of 65 meters at the top of the hill, you will witness the most spectacular views of the temple complex against the backdrop of changing colors in the evening sky.
Phnom Bakheng, a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva, was built at the end of the 9th century atop a mountain. It now serves as a popular spot for visitors to capture the sunset scenery of the Angkor Wat below in the jungle 1.5 kilometers to the south-east. After exploring, you’ll head back to your hotel at 6 PM.
