Cape Verde island host the 2nd biggest community of Loggerhead turtle in the world, however, in this expedition you’ll be given the opportunity to swim with Green turtles, which it’s an experience that will be remembered for life. This is possible thank to a local fishermen who started feeding them in the past for several months creating a relationship between them and people which successfully improved their population with protection and food provided mainly from the local fishermen community of São Pedro.
This all trip will take around 3 hours, we’ll collect you from your hotel/residential, heading out to São Pedro’s village where the instructor will be waiting with all snorkel equipment ready for you. As safety is always priority, a briefing with all instructions will be provided before we jump on the fishermen boat for the adventure.
In a few minutes the turtle spot is reached and is finally time to jump into the water to play with this magnificent creature in his natural habitat.
In some places in the world, fishermen are the bad guys, but here they did an amazing job creating this extraordinary experience between turtles and humans.
