Explore Santiago Island on a full-day tour from Praia. Visit a banana plantation, relax on Tarrafal Beach, and enjoy a typical breakfast with a local family.
Get picked up at your accommodation, then depart toward the east coast of the island. Make your first stop at the largest banana and palm plantation on the island.
Continue towards the municipality of Calheta Sao Miguel with stops for photos on the black sand beach, then have the opportunity to enjoy a typical breakfast with a local family.
Arrive in Tarrafal and visit the former penal colony for political prisoners (optional). Then, visit the most beautiful beach in Santiago, take a break for lunch (at your own expense), and enjoy the beach.
After spending 2 hours in Tarrafal, continue towards the Serra Malagueta Natural Park and marvel at the incredible views of an ancient volcanic crater from 850 meters above sea level.
Then, move on to Assomada to visit the famous market and admire the vibrant colors of the local fruits and vegetables (Wednesday and Saturday only).
Continue to the municipality of São Laurenço dos Órgãos with a beautiful view from the highest point of the island (1394 meters of altitude).
The tour concludes with drop-off in Praia.
