Begin your day with a visit to Reed Flute Cave, often known as Guilin’s “Natural Underground Art Palace.” Marvel at the dreamy underground scenery created by colorful lights, stalactites, and Guilin’s unique karst landform.

Inside the cave, see various natural formations such as stalactites, stalagmites, stone pillars, and stone curtains. Some look like palaces, some like forests, some like waterfalls, and some even resemble animals. As you walk through the cave, every corner leaves room for imagination. In the afternoon, head to the Land of Idyllic Beauty (Shiwai Taoyuan). Nestled 15 km from downtown Yangshuo, this 4A scenic spot recreates the pastoral utopia described in China’s classic Peach Blossom Spring. Start your journey with a relaxing boat cruise across Yanzi Lake: glide past willow banks and peach groves, then sail through a dim narrow cave（can not go if the water level is high）. Upon exiting, a stunning vista unfolds—karst peaks, green farmlands and quiet villages come into full view, just as the ancient poem depicted.

Wander on land to explore Dong ethnic architecture, including wind-and-rain bridges and wooden drum towers. Catch lively folk singing and dance performances showcasing Zhuang, Yao and Dong traditions. In the evening, enjoy the Impression Liu Sanjie Show. Directed by Zhang Yimou, Impression Sanjie Liu is the world’s first large outdoor landscape live show. Set on the Li River with karst peaks as the natural backdrop, it features over 600 local performers presenting authentic ethnic folk customs. With stunning light effects, fishery scenes and folk ballads, this 70-minute performance requires no language barrier, offering international travelers an unforgettable poetic night view of Yangshuo’s natural scenery.
