Forbidden City is the largest wooden complex palace in the world. It’s a huge city instead of a palace. It was built in 1404 by emperor Zhudi, the bravest emperor through whole Chinese 2000 year’s feudal dynasties’ history who vowed to protect whole nation from the entrance of China, it took 16 years for the whole construction and came into being in 1420.
The whole Forbidden City is built under Chinese Feng-shui and five elements. It is mainly divided into two parts, political center and living quarter.
The political center in the southern part is consist of three halls, which are hall of Supreme Harmony, hall of Middle Harmony and hall of Preserving Harmony for emperors to hold most important ceremonies.
Then the living quarter located in the north part of the Forbidden City, where emperors, their wives and children to live there.
The last part is the imperial garden, where families have fun to kill the time, full of beautiful flowers, pavilions, rockeries, temples……
You will exist from the Northern gate of the Forbidden City.

After the Forbidden City, we will walk to the less touristy entrance of the Tian’anmen Square.
It was a square only for the emperors before 1911. It became people’s square after 1st, Oct, 1949. Where you can see the memorial hall of Chairman Mao.

In the end, we will end our tour from the beautiful food street where your guide can recommend you nice restaurants to eat and you can reach subway station super easy to go back to you hotel.

If the square is shut down by the Government randomly for political reasons without noticing visitors, no refund for the Square. We can exchange the Square into the Jingshan park where you can get an amazing view of the Forbidden City.
Meeting point: National Center for Performing Arts-Noth Gate By taxi: If you want to take a taxi to the meeting point, you can show “国家大剧院西门停车场入口” to local taxi driver. After you arrive there, walk to the Northern Side of the National Center for Performing Art. If you use Alipay to get a taxi, please set the destination as “National Center for the Performing Arts - West Gate (or parking lot entrance)”  By metro: Take the Metro to to Tian’anmen Xi Station (Tian’anmen West station) of Line 1. Exit from the exit C to reach the National Center for Performing Arts-North gate, you will find a big nail shell-shape building with a beautiful lake surrounding it. Just wait near the National Center for Performing Arts-North gate.
