Description

Visit the green heart of the island, the Troodos Mountain range, including the picturesque villages and the Kykkos Monastery.
Our first stop will be in Arsos Village – one of the biggest wine-producing villages in Cyprus. We will have a breakfast at a local “kafeneio”.
We will then visit the Tzelefos bridge – the largest medieval stone bridge ever built in Cyprus.
On our drive up to Troodos we will make stops for photos of breathtaking natural beauty.
Following stop is the Tomb of the first President of the Republic of Cyprus, Archbishop Makarios III. The tomb is located near Kykkos Monastery where Makarios served as a novice in the 1920´s and 1930´s, and on the mountain of Throni – a site that he personally chose.
The tour will continue to Kykkos Monastery, founded in 1080 AD and known as a favourite pilgrimage destination.
We will have lunch in Pedhoulas village. Lunch included in the price.
The next stop will be Mandria village. Here we will have the opportunity to taste and buy the local herbs and teas.
Visitors must dress appropriately when visiting religious places!
