Begin your tour with a ride on the Metrocable to La Aurora, where you will see the Cristo de la Paz from the air and understand the territorial context of one of the most symbolic areas of Medellín. Next, you will tour the streets of the San Javier neighborhood, visiting community landmarks such as Casa Kolacho, the Pasaje Comercial, the Parque Biblioteca, and the Centro del Valle del Software.

You will also learn about the history of the La América Cemetery and the Casa Morada, sites of memory and social transformation. The tour ends with an immersion in the Escaleras Eléctricas, an icon of urban art, neighborhood resilience, and collective creativity.

As part of this symbolic and cultural experience, you will visit two urban art galleries and, depending on availability, share a space with a local artist. During the tour, you will see historical photographs, enjoy unique viewpoints, and discover the symbolism behind the graffiti. In addition, you will be able to sample local products, have lunch in community spaces, and experience firsthand the daily life of a neighborhood that today is an example of dignity, organization, and hope.

This tour includes walking through urban areas with slopes, stairs, and streets with high foot traffic. Good mobility and basic physical condition are recommended.

The itinerary may be adjusted depending on the weather, neighborhood events, or the availability of cultural spaces.

Although iconic places such as Casa Kolacho and Casa Morada will be visited, entry will depend on the availability of each community organization.

We suggest that you do not bring valuables, large backpacks, or luggage.

The experience is guided by local residents who are knowledgeable about the history, culture, and social processes of the area.
The tour guide will be located at the main exit of the station, at the metro cable car, next to the "Welcome to San Javier" sign. They will be wearing a white or black T-shirt. We recommend arriving at least 10 minutes in advance.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
