Donghaksa Temple, located in Gongju, Chungcheongnam-do, is a historic Buddhist temple established in 724 A.D. by the monk Sangwon-josa. Originally known as Cheongryangsa Temple, it was later renamed Donghaksa, meaning "Eastern Crane Temple," due to a rock resembling a crane that once stood nearby. This temple is notable for its beautiful surroundings, nestled in the east valley of Gyeryongsan Mountain, and is renowned for its serene atmosphere and rich cultural heritage.
